Hi everyone. Welcome back to the Let's Talk Yoga podcast. One of the things about being a

0:06.8

podcaster is that I've been spending a lot of time on research and trying to find guests to have

0:13.9

these conversations with. And one of the byproducts of that research is I'm reading a lot of yoga

0:20.6

books. And it's fascinating to me that

0:23.9

there's just so much out there and it's been a wonderful journey just going through all this

0:30.1

research and my friend Indu Aurora who has been on this podcast before talking about yoga nidra that I've heard so many of you write

0:41.1

to me and share your own experience of how much you enjoyed her interview and our conversation

0:47.6

about yoga nidra. She just released her third book. It's called Soma 100 Heritage Recipes for Self-Care. And if you know me,

0:59.1

and honestly, even if you don't, I love self-care, DIY recipes. It takes me right back to my

1:07.1

childhood. You know, my mother used to teach me some of these home remedies and these

1:12.1

skincare masks and these small things that we could do every day just to look after ourselves.

1:18.5

So I was really excited when Hindu's book came out and I knew we had to have a conversation

1:23.8

about it. It's been a difficult year for everybody and self-care is is very,

1:29.9

very significant at this time. And the self-care recipes and rituals that Hindu shares in

1:37.5

this book is unlike modern day Instagram-y self-care, where you need to buy something from someone else to give yourself

1:47.4

this care. Ayurveda or rather in Ayurveda, the self-care starts from within. You move from

1:55.5

internal to external. So it's really accessible. It's small changes you can make in your everyday life. And there's just so much Hindu packs into this simple but really powerful and rich book called Soma. So when we sat down, we really got into a conversation about some rituals and recipes and practices that one can do.

2:20.6

And there's a moment in the interview where Hindu briefly talks about dosha's or she brings

2:26.7

it up.

2:27.7

And I'm doing another episode with an Ayurvedic doctor soon where we'll go into in-depth conversations about what are dosha's

2:38.2

and how do you know what your dosha is.

2:40.8

So just so you know that side note, that's coming up in another interview really soon.
