Summary

The independent 2018 Christian movie “I Can Only Imagine” performed far better than anyone could have imagined at it would bring in $17.1 million opening weekend and become one of the top performing faith films of all time totaling more than $80 million at the box office. And now a sequel to the hit movie, “I Can Only Imagine 2”, will be released in February of 2026. This new film is a part of the increasing interest in faith-based and family-orientated entertainment many Christians in the country want. FOX's Ryan Schmelz speaks with Andrew Erwin, Producer/Director/Co-Founder Kingdom Story Company and Co-Director of 'I Can Only Imagine 2', who says this sequel proves there is a growing demand for faith-based films that explore the deeper tenants of the Christian faith.
