editor-in-chief of Strategic Europe. She writes a column bi-weekly, bi-monthly.

And also comments for me on the European Union,

which I'm learning about.

I'm a 20th century fellow. I was not educated in the EU. The

excuse is it didn't much exist, but here it is and I need to know 720 seats for

the European Parliament.

You need 361 for a majority.

The voting begins the 6th of June, an important day,

extends to the 9th of June.

The detail here that I know to speak to is what is new. What is new

is there are in the major industry, in the major industrial states, right of center parties that are fresh that are

aggressive they're anti-EU to my knowledge until Judy corrects me is certainly

anti-immigrant and they have they have traction in the extreme parts of

their voting public. The one that I'm most familiar with is AFD alternative for

Deutschland.

But the party in France is well known,

the party in Italy is in power.

And sometimes I think Brexit is a party.

But then again, that we're gonna rule out the UK. They've got their own problems.

Judy, this parliamentary election, is there suggestion that there's going to be a rise of these right of center parties or are they just enjoying

their best moments now beforehand? One caveat we have to be careful with
