A man named Macron and Ms. Van der Leyen, President of the European Commission, traveling

to Beijing at approximately the same time with sharply different results to lead, read

from the headlines after the visit. I welcome Judy Dempsey. She is the Editor-in-Chief

of Strategic Europe. That's the Cardigan Diamond for International Peace. And Judy's

column before this visit was looking to establish certain guidelines for how Europe can regard

China's aggression, its provocations, its domination of its neighborhood, especially Taiwan.

And now after the visit we have contrary headlines. Judy, a very good day to you. I read from

this is Bloomberg, I believe. Manual Macron forces website to delete his frank comments on Taiwan.

This is during the presidential plane back from China. We also have a headline that is within

these last hours. Macron takes, Macron takes pitch for EU power to the Hague, amid backlash.

This goes on about how people are capitals are reacting to a man named Macron. And if

I can characterize his remarks simply, it's that Europe needs an autonomous foreign policy,

especially when it comes to China. And that there is no reason to presume that France

would stand with the United States in the event of a catastrophe, an award between the

people's Republic of China and Taiwan. Did you expect Macron to step outside the lines in his

visit to Beijing and to be this alarmed by his own remarks that he's demanding a website which

posted them around the world. Everybody saw the remarks to take them down. Good day to you, Judy.
