I welcome Judy Dempsey, the non-resident senior fellow at Carnegie Europe.

She's the editor-in-chief of Strategic Europe,

which is your straightforward way to learn about all these

extremely prosperous and ambitious countries dealing with two wars simultaneously and a third

war threatened in Asia and we go to what does the Gaza war mean in terms of the

Ukraine war and Judy helps me understand this from the European

point of view. Judy a very good evening to you. Thank you. The Ukraine war is

right now in a bumpy period of winterizing. We're told there was a huge storm and there's also

winter general frost or marshal winter imminent and in fact you already have snow in Berlin.

So we have the third winter of the war, while the Gaza flames are burning higher and higher with the hostage exchange.

There is the suggestion that the U.S. is diverting resources or its attention or its politics

towards Gaza and away from Ukraine.

I don't know that that's accurate.

There's, it's just talk right for right now.
