Endowment for International Peace and my guide on German politics. But now we go to the EU,

which is a much broader coalition, if it is, of states that do very well, except they've got a Ukrainian war on their hands,

or do they?

Judy, it's not just Berlin.

It's Paris.

It's London.

It's Rome.

There is no one opinion of what is to be done about Ukraine if Mr. Trump insists upon not only settling the war quickly, favoring the Russian

side, if I understand the headlines correctly, but also that Mr. Trump is going in another

direction when it comes to defense of Europe entirely. That's NATO's job, but there's overlap

between NATO and the EU, and the EU has the bankers, it has the expectations, it has the European Central Bank.

Is the EU now committed to whatever it takes to sustain Ukraine, even if it's partitioned, or is that going to be Ukraine and America's problem?

And the EU has its own difficulties.

Okay, let's go backwards.

America, it doesn't, under Trump, doesn't want Ukraine to be its problem.

Right.

Firstly.

Secondly, under America, under Trump, they want the business back to business with Russia,

whether he's going to make deals for even open the most fundamental of issues,

nuclear proliferation talks.
