Add Addis Ababa, Associate Professor of Political Science, University of Toronto,

Harvard Kennedy School, Dist scholars in foreign affairs,

recommending what is called in capital letters a transitional justice working group of experts, all capital letters.

What is that, Gregory?

What are they recommending?

It's a pretty lightweight approach to it,

as you would expect from a team of academics

and supported by foreign affairs,

which really doesn't take an in-depth look

at any of these situations.

Now, is there a need for a system of justice which will basically give redress to people who have suffered as a result of the civil wars and so on in Ethiopia in the last couple of years

absolutely but you can't start it there a a truth and justice commission which was advocated some time ago and including

by Prince Emius Sali Salaise, Harley Salaise, the grandson of the emperor who said that we need to get some view on the crimes

committed by Mingistu Holly Mariam and the Derg who seized power and a coup in 1974,

and then conducted deliberate processes

of forced famine in certain areas,

widespread killings, mass denial of human rights and the like.

That's where you need to start.
