Within these last days, a report from Berlin, which I'm told is a

credible report given that it is a rumor. The headline is translated into English by the telegraph from a very popular tabloid that everyone I'm told

reads in Germany, does build. U.S. and Germany quote thus build.

US and Germany, quote, pressing Kief

to end war in Ukraine.

The United States and Germany are in talks

over an effort to persuade Ukraine to negotiate a peace deal with Russia.

The two largest states in NATO and Kief's biggest military backers are said to be deliberately limiting arms deliveries to make it clear to President Zelensky that conflict is now frozen.

This conjoins with other articles that are suggestive, Gregory. One says that the Shell contest

has been lost by Ukraine. They do not have adequate supplies for the winter. Another is that Ukraine is now striking well behind

Russian lines with drones and or missiles, probably drones against airplane

factories intimidating the Russians to close airports.

In other words, another kind of war, an asymmetrical war.

Another suggestion is that President Selensky is isolated from his own general staff.

The general staff having been of the opinion for some time

that the battlefield is a stalemate.

That what we have here is something not unlike a very

small version of Verdun in the first war. Now all of these rumors come out of

our conversation last week but that article in Foreign Affairs again,
