Hi, everybody. Welcome to this week's episode of Over 50 and Flourishing. So excited about the content

0:06.8

coming up in the month of October. It is World Menopause Month. And I've got some amazing guests

0:14.6

coming your way. But I thought it would be kind of cool, too. If I were to share at the beginning of

0:20.0

each episode, just little snippets of my

0:22.7

menopause journey, because as you know, I'm affiliated with a lot of people who are

0:27.2

specialists and practitioners solely in the menopause space, many of whom were former

0:33.5

OB-GYNs who just said, you know what, there's not enough education here.

0:38.0

My patients deserve more and I want to be able to offer more.

0:41.5

1:18.3

1:24.1

And I would start to break out. I would feel this flush coming over me. And I would

1:28.5

think, oh gosh, don't let this be a tight shot camera because I'm going to look beat red. And then what if I

1:33.7

start sweating? And then, you know, body chemistry starts to change, right? And you're like, you know,

1:40.1

oh my gosh, you know, this is happening during the news. And then driving home at night, just feeling miserably hot.

1:46.3

And I just, you know, there were so many things going on all at once.

1:49.8

And I'm so grateful that my symptoms, I'm not grateful for the symptoms, but they were strong enough to lead me on a journey that led to incredible education, awareness, trial, and error in terms of treating
