Keeping our gear organized on our overnight, multi-day, multi-week trips.

That's the best way to do this.

Well, I'm going to address it as a backpacker.

But some of these principles could be used for whatever module you used to get around

in the backcountry.

I'm going to start by, what do I do at home?

How do I keep things organized?

Well, I use toots.

I have one tote where I keep all of my backpacking gear.

And that is everything that I will take on a backpacking trip,

except for my sleeping bag and my tent.

I like to store those separately.

I have a down sleeping bag, so I like to keep that in a nice big bag.

So it doesn't lose its law.

And my tent, I just, I'm not crazy about storing that with other gear.

I like, again, I'll let that be in a situation where it can air out.
