John, and it's good to beat you. It really is. I've been in a fellowship long enough

so that I really appreciate listening to our speakers this weekend. It seems to me that

when I listen to speakers, it seems to put my life together. I see things that normally

I guess I don't think about because I get kind of a busy doing things in everyday

living, and I was thinking how God moves in mysterious ways, and someone said once,

wonders the way he reforms, and I was thinking how I would have never believed if, you know,

when I lived in my reservation, one year I slept in his old, empty house because I have

just lost seven members in my family. They died with D.V. and my mother just died. I was

thinking how scared I was and how I have never told anyone for years because somehow I felt

that nobody understands. I'm the last person in the world would ever believe that someday I

would be here in Kansas City, standing up in front of a couple of thousand people and

realize that people understand. You know, I'm not type of a person who have ever believed that

I would be invited to speak in weekends like this. You know, I arrived here in AA. I was

28 years old. I was living in a mission in Syracuse, New York, and I have been living in missions

off and on for, for those seven years because the fella by the name of Tom will run the

rescue mission. If you attend one of these religious services, he would always allow you to sleep
