I've known Eric for a long time.

He's somebody, we don't spend a ton of time together, but whenever we get together,

we feel like the two of us can talk forever and ever,

and I consider him a pal.

And I've admired him long before I got to know him.

Eric, when he was very before I got to know him.

Eric, when he was very young in 1988,

played in the World Series of Poker,

Main Event, and he was the runner-up to Johnny Chan,

which was depicted, and we will talk about this in the movie that matters a lot to both

of us rounders and since then he is one of the absolute most successful tournament poker players in history.

Eric is the only player in history to have earned more than 5 million a year in

winnings in multiple years. He did it in 2011, 2015, 2016.

No other players done it more than once.

He ranks fourth on the all-time money list, total career live earnings of almost 38 million dollars.

And more than that... almost 38 million dollars.

And more than that, he's largely responsible

for the hit book, The Biggest Bluff,

written by Maria Conicaba, who came under Eric's tutelage, and he's a member of the Poker Hall of Fame.

He's also a completely solid human being, a loyal person, one of the most well loved people in the game and most players of his level are largely hated and people are jealous of them, but Eric has somehow found a way by being a decent human to defang most of his competitors as a human being and he's also a music fan as an as insane as I am and that's another thing we talk about a lot in in real life.
