Summary
Is eating meat bad for the environment?
By now, long time listeners like you know well that industrial factory farms packed with GMO grain-fed cattle destroy our health and desecrate the planet.
The truth is, ruminants like cows are a critical part of a thriving ecosystem.
By working with nature (instead of against it), regenerative agriculture holds incredible promise for healing the planet while feeding our communities real food.
So I'm pleased to say that joining me on the show today is Eric Perner, cattle rancher, Professional Mechanical Engineer, and co-founder of REP Provisions.
Eric owns the Double P Ranch in Mounds, Oklahoma where they raise grass-fed beef and pastured pork, and educate other ranchers about restoration grazing, increasing soil biodiversity, and the holistic management of land and cattle for regenerating native grasslands.
You're going to dig this show. We're talking about:
- The critical difference between monocrops and regenerative agriculture
- How to work with nature (instead of against it)
- Why healthy soil matters
- Nutrient density of pasture-raised meats vs factory farmed
- The secret behind the best tasting pork chops on the planet
- And tons more…
