Good morning or afternoon or whatever time of day it is for you. Today and tomorrow I wanted to do something a little bit special.

I know I know there have not been some new episodes in a little while I get it I've been traveling

apologies but rest assured those are coming next week but for today and tomorrow I

wanted to do something fun So last year, I believe or maybe the year before that, I happen to have an

interview with the then Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams,

who is now in New York City, the mayor-elect.

And I thought, so this was episode 545 and 546,

and I thought now that he has been more or less elected and

should sort of step into that role early next year I thought it might be interesting to revisit that conversation

and hear a little bit more about his background, hear a little bit more about who he is as a person,

what he stands for, and why he started pursuing a career in politics

in the first place.

So fair warning, this episode was recorded last summer during like the height of the Black Lives Matter protests and all of that stuff.

So we do address that and we also talk about his history with police brutality and why he

Eventually joined the the police and sort of like how his how he thought about that process.

So it's an interesting conversation.

Eric is an interesting guy, and I really enjoyed having him on.

So I want to share those two episodes today and tomorrow and yeah so enjoy this is episode 545 the

tomorrow I'll air episode 546 enjoy. In this episode I sit down with Eric

Adams the current borough president of Brooklyn, New York to talk about Black Lives Matter.
