| 2:05.8 | with a population of around 1,000 people. In her early years, Lacey had enjoyed going to school. |

| 2:22.1 | During her time at school, she also received an autism diagnosis, specifically Asperger |
| 2:29.2 | Syndrome. In the 1990s, there was not a lot of support for autistic people and their families, especially in small towns like slaughter. |
| 2:40.3 | When Lacey was 14, her parents withdrew her from school, choosing to homeschool her instead. |

| 2:54.4 | their time to their daughter. Lacey had very little contact with other people after she left school. |
