Summary

On the 10th of May 2013, Premier Inn hotel staff discovered the bodies mother and daughter Margaret and Nicola McDonough. They had severe injuries and nobody could figure out why these two kind and harmless women had their lives ended like this.


As the police started their investigation, they uncovered an incredible web of lies and the reality seemed truly unbelievable. But....

I first heard about this case in November, in 2024, so two months ago, and I have not stopped thinking about it since. Today's case

takes us to Scotland. In August 2011, 31-year-old Michael Madonna was looking for love. He was in the Royal

Air Force stationed at Lossie Mouth in Murray, which is in the north of Scotland. Being in the

Air Force made dating a challenge, so he did what a lot of people started to do in 2011.

He logged on to plenty of fish, one of the world's most popular dating websites.

He talked to a variety of women, but he hadn't found that someone special.

But in May 2012, that changed. He received a message from a young woman called Stephanie Wilson. She was beautiful in her early 20s with long blonde

hair and her profile said she was a student at Edinburgh University.

I started talking on the phone and Michael became besotted with her. He told her he loved her,

despite never having met her before. But Stephanie was having some troubles. She told Michael that her sister's ex-boyfriend
