Trump has had this bafo trip to the Persian Gulf. He's had fighter jet escorts. He's had

guys on camels escorting him. He's had traditional Arab dances with girls twirling their beautiful long hair around as he

walks among them. We have had him awarded the Order of Zayed, the highest civilian honor in the UAE,

lots of dealmaking, lots of money exchanging hands, and a big speech in Riyadh, basically setting out what you'd consider, I think, a Trump doctrine, maybe subtract a little bit for the forum and the audience.

There is no mention of democracy whatsoever.

I think that had a little something to do with it,

but this is basically where Trump is,

highly transactional, emphasis on commerce,

emphasis on deal making,

will bring anyone into this charm circle

where they can build gleaming high rises in their country

and be at peace with the United States.

And we're not going to bother anyone with their values or how they're governing themselves.

And there was an explicit shot at the neocons for not being able to create what the Saudis and others have created just on their own and keeping with their own culture and

traditions. What did you make of it? Well, I mean, it's Trump in, Trump in a very Trumpy element.
