So Jim Garrity, speaking of forgetting and calling the whole thing off, we have a pause, historic pause, and the trade war between the United States and China.

None of us here are fans of China.

I am quite open to the idea. We need, in fact,

I think it that we need a new trading relationship with China in important respects, but 145%

basically coming up that policy with your thumbs via your truth social account in response

to China retaliation was always insane and unsustainable. And

Herb Stein, the great economist, said if something can't be sustained, it won't be sustained.

And sure enough, Trump was not going to go through with this and see empty store shelves and

small businesses going out of business and price hikes and a crimping American

Christmas and little American girls having fewer and more expensive dolls. None of that,

or at least not at this level. And Bessent, his own Treasury Secretary, is open. This is unsustainable.
