I'm Matt Roberts, executive producer, and writer.

I thought we'd mix it up a little bit this year for this half of the season.

Normally, I pick a topic and just talk about it and see where it takes

us. This time I thought I'd post on my Instagram to ask you guys to ask some questions

so you can let me know what you want to know about and one one

the first questions uh that popped up was and i thought was really interesting it was how

how did technology change over the course of the years that we've been doing the show?

How has that changed over the years and either helped us or hindered us in creating the show?

And I will say episode 709 that we're about to watch right now

is one of the episodes that really benefited from the new technologies that are out there.

And I know you guys have watched all the episodes. So those of you that join

week to week on the podcast that you've watched all the episodes. And one of the things from

709 and actually 708 that we filmed first was the ships.

So we brought a ship up from southern England, and it sailed up the coast, and we docked it in Fife.

And we built a huge gray screen surrounding the ship and it was docked the entire time

and we filmed that early early in season seven it was one of the first things we did and

you know believe that in the main title, that ship is actually sailing.

So that wasn't, that was actually really done.

But on a drone.
