It was so fun being in Chicago again.

I love going to that race every single year.

And there were so many people.

I know so many of you listening that ran that race or were there cheering on their friends or family.

So wow, what a beautiful weekend.

We do have a recap episode today of the Chicago Marathon with the one and only Emily Venters.

I was following Emily's story closely as she was debuting the marathon in Chicago this past weekend.

I had the opportunity to speak with her at the press conference,

and she was so excited to tow the start line of her first marathon.

If you had her on your tracker, you might know that some things went

awry for her on this day. And she gives us the entire rundown in this episode of what unfolded

on that course and how she handled it, in my opinion, with so much grace, so much grit, so much determination. If you don't

know Emily, she's been on the podcast before. She came on the show back in May of this past year

when she first broke 15 in the 5K. So that's episode 609 on all have another podcast

emily debuted the half marathon in houston back in january she went on to run at the u.s.

half marathon championships placing fifth she has a half marathon time of 6848. She is now living in Utah being coached by

Ed Istone and training with that group, who she has a lot of great support from. Emily is a

leukemia survivor. She was diagnosed with leukemia at three years old. And so in the race in Chicago,
