Summary
Today my guest is Jay Dicharry — a physical therapist, researcher, coach, and the founder of the MOBO board. If you’re in the running world, you’ve probably heard his name before. Jay is also the author of Running Rewired: Reinvent Your Run for Stability, Strength, and Speed, which I’ve been reading and loving lately. I’ve also been using the MOBO board every day and can honestly say it’s been a game changer.
Jay is such a kind and humble person, and his passion for helping runners move better and stay healthy really shines through in this conversation. He’s a faculty member at Oregon State University and has built an international reputation for his expertise in biomechanical analysis, injury prevention, and performance training. His career has spanned directing the Speed Clinic at the University of Virginia, running an independent lab in Oregon, and consulting with everyone from USA Track & Field to the U.S. Air Force.
I felt like I got a free consultation during this interview! Jay truly elevates the standard of care for athletes, therapists, and coaches everywhere. I think you’re going to walk away from this one feeling motivated, inspired, and ready to commit to your strength work.
