Paxton Pomykal was a standout performer for the U.S. U20s at the Concacaf Championship, and the creative central midfielder has come out swinging in 2019 for FC Dallas. He's started 3 of 4 games for one of the better teams (so far) in the western conference of MLS, and he's drawn attention on both sides of the Atlantic as a midfield orchestrator and disruptor in the press. 0:44.4	Dallas right? Yes born and raised in Dallas I've lived here my whole life so yeah.
0:50.1	Okay how'd you get into soccer in the first place? My dad played soccer in
0:56.3	college, so I'm not like from the Dallas City, like just the F. W. Metroplex I live
1:00.9	like 40 minutes north of the city but yeah my dad played in
1:03.8	college and then yeah he introduced us to the game my mom wasn't really a
1:08.9	soccer fanatic until like we started playing yeah me and my brothers until she realized you were going to be
1:16.1	really good at it then she became a soccer fan? No no from the beginning she was a fan of anything we were
1:22.0	interested in. Okay cool. So at what
1:26.2	age did you join the FC Dallas Academy were you were you born at the complex or?
1:38.8	No I live I live like 35 minutes away from the complex, so I actually grew up like for the Dallas Texans.
1:39.8	Okay.
1:40.8	And then I switched to F.C FC Dallas Academy when I was 15.
1:45.0	Okay, 15. Did you play as a winger then or were you a number 10 at that age?
1:52.0	Like what position were you playing at that stage?
1:54.1	Actually, I think I was 14, sorry.
