Hi and welcome to another episode of the Truth Seekers podcast a truth seeker is

someone who wants to know the truth they search for what's true and they won't

where we will search for truth each week and the stories of the Bible. In last week's episode we learned about a man named Abraham. God

had promised Abraham that he and his wife Sarah would have a child even in their old age.

Abraham had faith and believed in God's promise to him.

In today's episode we are going to learn more about Abraham and his faith in God.

In today's story, God is going to put Abraham to the test.

It's the most difficult test, one of the hardest tests that Abraham would ever have to face.

Are you ready to learn about Abraham's test?

Before we begin, let me ask you a question. Have you ever had to give up something you loved? Have you ever

had to let go of something that meant a lot to you? Or maybe you can think of something or someone right now that is so important to you.

You don't know what you would do without it or them.

Did you know God wants to be the most important thing in your life?

The Bible says we are not to worship anything other than God himself,

and sometimes if we're not careful, we can let the things that are most important

to us become even more important than God. This is what Abraham's test would be

about. You see Abraham and Sarah had waited a very long time for a child.

Last week we learned they waited 25 years. The Bible says the Lord was gracious to Sarah as he had said and the

Lord did for Sarah what he promised. Just as God promised Sarah had a son at the exact time that God had promised them.
