Hi and welcome to episode five of the truth seekers podcast.

If you've been listening each week then you know that a truth

seeker is someone who wants to know the truth.

They search for what's true and they won't rest until they find it. I am a truth

seeker and if you are too then you come to the right place where we will search

for truth each week in the stories of the Bible. I'm so excited

that you've joined me for our fifth episode of the podcast. I'm looking forward

to the truth we will find in today's story. Are you ready? In last week's

episode we learned about Noah and the Arc. We learned that God had sent a flood to

cover the earth because the earth had become so corrupt with sin, but God saved

Noah and his family because Noah walked with God and obeyed him.

In today's episode, we are going to learn about a man named Abram.

Abram was Noah's great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great,

grandson.

That's a lot of great.

Abram was a man just like Noah who walked with God and knew God. One day the Lord appeared to Abram and said,

Leave your country, your people, and your father's household and go to the land I will show you. I will make you into a

great nation and I will bless you. I will make your name great and you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you and whoever

curses you I will curse and all peoples of the earth will be blessed through you.

Can you imagine the Lord appearing to you and asking you to leave your home, your friends,

your school, and everything you've ever known and moved to another country, maybe some of you

have had to move away from friends and family.
