Summary
I’m excited to share that my guest on today’s podcast is Emily Infeld. We all love Emily! She’s a regular here on the I’ll Have Another Podcast, and it’s always such a pleasure to have her back on. My favorite story about Emily goes way back to 2016, when I first started this podcast. I had this idea that maybe I could get some professional athletes to come on the show, and Emily was one of the very first pros to say yes.
It’s been really cool to see how far both of us have come since then. As I’ve progressed in my podcasting journey, I’ve been able to cheer Emily on, watch her grow, and see all the incredible things she’s been doing in the sport. Not only has she achieved amazing things on the track, but she’s also become such a powerful advocate for mental health, which is something that resonates with so many people. Emily is one of the most real, authentic people I know in this sport, and I’m excited to share this conversation with you.
For a little background, Emily is a 2015 World Silver Medalist in the 10,000 meters, and a 2018 Silver Medalist at the US Cross Country Championships. She’s represented Team USA six times, and she competed in the 2016 Rio Olympics. She was with Nike for a long time (over 12 years!!), and just recently announced that she’ll be joining the Brooks Running team.
Emily is one of those people who is so easy to talk to—kind, genuine, and you feel that authenticity in every conversation with her. It really comes through in this interview. So, please enjoy my conversation with the wonderful Emily Infeld!
