Summary
We have a truly phenomenal athlete on the podcast today, Trevon Jenifer. Trevon is a three-time Paralympic gold medalist, a one-time Paralympic bronze medalist, and a world champion for Team USA. He plays wheelchair basketball and was born with congenital phocomelia, a rare condition in which a person is born without lower limbs. In this episode, Trevon shares what life was like growing up without lower limbs and how he discovered adaptive sports.
Before excelling in wheelchair basketball, Trevon was a wrestler. He has represented Team USA for over 15 years. He’s also a proud father of two and works for the Secret Service.
In our conversation, Trevon opens up about his passion for hard work, the immense sacrifices he’s made to reach his goals, and the crucial role that mindset plays in his success. I know you’ll take away so much from this inspiring conversation with him. It was truly an honor to interview Trevon for the podcast.
On a personal note, I recently watched wheelchair basketball in the Paralympics, and it was absolutely incredible. It’s been so exciting to see how much more media attention and coverage the Paralympics are getting this year. Let’s keep that momentum going! With the Olympics and Paralympics coming to LA in 2028, there’s a huge opportunity to bring even more visibility to these sports. So let’s keep supporting and cheering on these amazing athletes.
Please enjoy my conversation with Trevon Jenifer!
