We've got a great episode with Katie Izzo on the show.

I first met Katie at the 2023 Monumental Marathon in Indianapolis.

I got to do a little panel with her and some other pro athletes at the Expo.

And then I got to announce her winning the half marathon there, which was her debut half marathon.

And that was 23.

And she actually just ran another half marathon PR in Orlando, a 16 second

PR, 70 minutes, 27 seconds. And she is training for the Houston Half Marathon. And we all know that

that is a super competitive race. and it's going to be a good

one to go for another big PR. Katie has represented Team USA in cross country at the World

Cross Country Championships. She also more recently placed third at the sound running cross country

championships. In November,

she competed in her second Olympic trials this past year, where she placed 13th in the 10,000

meters, which wasn't the place she was necessarily going for, but she will share about her journey to get to that start line and what

that looked like afterwards. She also competed in the 2020, well, it was 2021, Olympic trials on the track

as well. That was when she was still representing Arkansas, which was the university she ran for and placed third at the cross-country NCAA championships leading her team to winning the NCAA championship title in cross-country.

She also attended Cal Poly, and currently she runs for Adidas and lives and trains in

Flagstaff. If you are not following Katie's career, I highly recommend it. She is full of positive

energy and it's going to be fun to see her grow and thrive over these next few years on the roads,
