What's up guys? So today on the podcast, me and Eugene literally just get wrapping together. So it's so funny, like, we just got done with the podcast. And then afterwards, we're like, we're just going to like do the outro and the outro. Like we mess around a little bit in the outro's where we'll start like, you know, just goofing. And the goofing turned into like, I mean, we just, and this happens when Eugene and I talk. Just we went and boom, like 50 minutes minutes later we like had this deep conversation about all sorts of different subjects um i mean there's so much in it like i don't

0:27.4

want to like say this is this is what it's all about because it's really not about one thing um

0:31.6

but if any of you guys are interested about how things went with me when i first started and some

0:35.4

of the things that i got into when i first started doing like this gym stuff full time and some of the struggles I had with it. It's worth of listening. You can listen to Eugene and what he's gone through and some of the things that he's had to deal with and all this stuff. But anyway, I hope you guys enjoyed the podcast. And again, as always, if you want to support the podcast, check out the Patreon. that's Jitsu podcast on Patreon. You go there and you can check out some of the back-end, like little videos and audio clips that we have where just, you know, different times. We'll have guests, say, a few things. And on there, we have like a stretching video and things like that from one of the cool downs after my classes. And then, yeah, I guess with that said, let's get it into the podcast. But that's the thing. You can learn freaking anything on the internet. Like, I never thought I was going to do a podcast. Like, I didn't know how to speak into him. I don't think I even know how to keep a conversation with somebody. But see, I think the thing is, is, you know, years ago, I was talking to one of my students about this this morning because he's a

1:28.6

blue belt and he's overwhelmed by just the amount of stuff that's out there. And he's like, where do I, like, where do I draw the line? And I was telling him, like, look, man, why don't you just focus on one thing at a time, like two weeks at least? Like, just pick, as soon as you find a technique, you like stop watching take that technique and go i call these diet like these information diets

1:27.7

i go in these spurts where literally I'll read book after book after book I'll watch videos lectures all this stuff and then I say nope not doing that I'm gonna go in a diet you know I'm gonna like I look 100% it's like I go on a diet like a fast from information and I give that information time to seep in and then like let me do something with it.

2:01.7

And it's the same thing with like when you guys are doing techniques like go like every now and then like when you're doing all these instructionals and you're taking in all these Instagram moves, what are YouTube moves? Go on a diet and like pick one thing and then just put some execution behind it. And it's the same way with like if you're doing something else, right? the internet gives you all the information right so find the information and as soon as you find

2:01.7

something that like you And it's the same way with like if you're doing something else, right? Like the internet gives you all the information, right?

2:18.6

So find the information.

2:19.9

And as soon as you find something that like you don't know or that you haven't used or a technique that you need to want you want to implement, stop learning more and just do that one thing. Don't just that's it. Don't do anything else. Just do that. Get that done first and then do something else. you know, go on a diet for a little bit,

2:15.1

and then do that one thing,

2:16.2

and then once that thing's done, then we move on.

2:18.3

You know, and that's such a powerful thing,

2:19.5

because, again, you get so bombarded with the sheer amount of information that's coming in, just cut it off, you know? Like, turn off your phone. Like, I mean, literally, like, when I do these, I'll, I, like, put my phone in airplane mode most of the day just so I don't, like, get bombarded with new stuff. It's funny. There used to be not enough information. Now there's too much. Right. You know, and you know, it's the same problem. Yeah. Like, you're really, you're still kind of overwhelmed. You're underwhelmed. Well, you're overwhelmed. you're overwhelmed with like the things you don't know.

3:08.4

Yep.

3:08.7

And now you can know everything you know. Well, but what do you do with it? But the same thing. You're overwhelmed by what you don't know when there's not enough information. And then you're overwhelmed by what you don't know when there's too much information. So it's the same, same problem, different scenario. Right. I think it's the, well, I think it's like one, like lack of information, you know, you just don't have enough to execute on, right? So you just keep doing whatever. Too much information, you lack execution because you don't know where to get started. You have too many choices, right? It's like, it's like going to the, you know, it's like going to a burger joint and only, they only have one

3:41.1

burger. They got a burger. They got your hamburger. That's all they got. That's all you can choose from. You're like, I guess I'll have the hamburger, right? I'd like something else, but it doesn't look like there's anything else in the menu. Right. Then you go into another place and they've got like 40 things on the menu and you're like, I'm really hungry and there's just too much to choose from. You know, like it's, you just got to, you got to find that,

3:41.0

that happy middle ground, like, the amount of information we have in and kind of shorten that menu down a little bit. So you still have a lot to choose from and you have options, but you don't have so much that it becomes unwieldy. I had that situation today. I had a slower day today. and I was like, oh my God, what am I going to do? Where do I start?

3:57.6

Oh, you have time.

3:58.3

Where do I start? Oh, you have time. I have time for once. Like, what, what am I going to do? So I had to actually sit down and I was like, I'm just going to journal about it. I'm going to write. I'm going to give myself 10 minutes just to write and see what pops on the page and then some stuff kind of came out

4:32.3

and I was like I'll start there I'll make sure that I leave time to read a little bit or do whatever

4:36.7

there's always things that you should do every day I do that at night you see you do and I kind of got that
