This afternoon, I'll have track practice with my guys, and we're just going to run a mile in strides

because it's so cold and none of them are in shape, but I just want to get that mindset of,

hey, it's been an awful year, but remember how much fun we have together. Are you guys having your track season like normal? Is that planned?

Not like normal, but yes, we are planning on having a season with meets and right now a state series.

But it will be conducted like May and June, where normally I'd be getting them ready for an indoor meet right now.

You know, I was cross-country skiing yesterday and there was a high school cross-country ski race going on.

And it was very interesting how they handled it.

They had all the teams go out in waves in their teams, but not race each other.

And then it was all time trial base, which was just super interesting.

So they let all the squads go, but there was no head to head. And then I think about that on the track. Like, that is,

is that feasible on a track? Obviously not. So I assume they'll go to traditional racing.

Illinois had an almost normal cross-country season. We didn't have the big invites, but we still had

meat and were able to have something very similar to a state meet.

And they just put waves of 50.

So all the number one guys ran, all the number two and three ran together.
