0:11.0

And today we're on the podcast. We're going to bring him on. Him and I in the podcast, we talk

0:15.5

everything mainly strength training. So we're going to do a lot about strength training,

0:18.3

straight training tips, things like that. We also talk about a program we just released. And then we're also going to, it just happens. So like we ended up talking about some gym business related stuff. So if you guys are interested in that, that'll kind of kind of find its way in there. But mostly strength training. And so Joe is a, Joe's a really strong human being. He's got a lot of knowledge. And he's worked with our guys. So if you ever come to my gym over on the, the main side is like the jiu-jitsu side where our blue mats are. And if you go to the right, you'll end up on the strength training side. And that's his domain where he's up. He's built a really strong program there with all kinds some cool, you know, toys to work out with. So anyways, it's a fun podcast, one of my best friends,

0:39.6

and, uh, and we definitely shows, because we have a, I think we could probably fill out like weeks of podcasts with just inside stories about silly stuff that's happened over the years. So hope you guys enjoyed the podcast, and as always, you can support the podcast by going to patreon.com slash the jihitsu podcast. Check it out. We do a lot of extras on there. And then if you want to, if you want to check out some CBD oil to help you recover, help you sleep, all that good stuff. Go to charlesweb.com. And you can use Jiu-Jitsu 10 as a promo code and save 10%. Drop-in fees for the gym, a million dollars. So actually it's funny, so who asked for the drop-in fees? T-O-P. Okay, I see, T-O- whatever. Big Gun X-X. So guys, just in case you ever decide to come to Derby City, my gym, Joe's gym, Eugene's gym, our gym, right? Joe's the business owner, so Joe and I's

1:45.7

actual gym, if you want to get into ownership. But we don't like mat fees personally, so we don't do them. So basically, if you decide to come in, we're not going to charge you any mat fee. Basically, the way it works is we just open the doors, you come in and train. If you have a really, really good time and you'd like to support the gym, you're welcome to buy a t-shirt. I actually had a couple of guys visiting today, actually. We actually had four people in the gym this morning that were visitors. And the way that I told him was that, man, a lot of you guys have either purchased t-shirts. Some of you guys have purchased some of the things like we just release our strength training program. Some of you guys might get that. Some of you guys might get like some of the other series and things like that that we offer. So if you're already doing that, come on in. You know, like, I mean, it's like it's not a big deal. We'd rather just have you there training anyway. And so that you can get a look and you, you know, some of you guys are pretty tough when you stop by the gym so you can give my guys a look as well so you know on average right now we're

2:39.3

getting like 10 to 15 drop-ins a week about a week yeah it's crazy we've had about when did

2:43.1

start like getting getting bigger honestly last year last year and for about two years we we've removed the drop-in fee like me

2:52.3

and him talked about it we never really had one uh when there was another business partner

2:56.0

we had a drop-in fee well it so so we had a business partner where maybe there was a drop-in

3:00.9

fee but it was very loosely enforced because I could never like there's an integrity part

3:06.1

for both of us like I could never like be okay with

3:09.4

like charging someone for a drop of me if you've ever traveled out of town um to drop into a gym

3:15.9

and train can be like it's just an odd feeling like there's no comfort factor there so the thing

3:21.9

we're trying to do is just make it open where people are comfortable

3:24.5

of training in all the, what makes you feel weird about a dropping fee? Well, I mean, my thing is for a drop in fee, you're going to be here for a day. Yeah. A day, right? Like, am I going to charge like 20 bucks? Like, why? Like, you know, I don't know. So my thing is, is, you know, people pay gym memberships, and I totally understand that.

3:24.2

We have gym memberships, all that stuff.

3:25.5

But when you're just stopping in, Why? Like, you know, I don't know. So my thing is, is, you know, people pay gym memberships.

3:41.3

And I totally understand that.

3:42.4

We have gym memberships, all that stuff.

3:43.6

But when you're just stopping in for a day, man, like, just, you know, for me, I really,
