I met him when I was a Bluebell back in the day. And we've trained together here and there. You don't mean for years. And at one point, he was actually at the gym with us for

Anybody ever called you out? Like, say, you suck. Not like that. I've been challenged. Well, back in the day, you used to train at the frigging, what was it, the community center. So there was all kinds of people coming in there. Yeah. Challenge matches every day. well i remember the first first time we met was like, so the first time we met, I came down there and I didn't know who he was. I went down to the community center. I was a blue belt at the time. And, you know, I come in and like as soon as I walk in, everybody's kind of like looking. And then like, you know, it was almost like, you know, it was their champion here. you're going to face our champion and you're going to go to go whatever so I walk in and then brinz there and he's about 215 at the time about 215 right yeah about that you're heavy at the time that's a big boy and maybe heavier and then we rolled and we had like a good like 20 minute match that went back and forth no one submitted either one or just like just scrambling. And it was afterwards like, oh, you're kind of a nice guy.

You know, neither one of us could get the other ones. But I mean, back there in the community center, you'd have random people coming through all the time from what I didn't go. I only went there twice. but I remember it was like some guy that thought he wanted to fight MMA would show up and then it would be like just a throwdown.

I remember the second time we trained because you were like, I had decided to try and get more serious about grappling, kind of. Because grappling was just something I sort of knew how to do growing up doing judo. Right. It was just like a thing. In my head, I was a striker.
