We're here for episode 507, the Ballad of Rod episode 507 the ballot of Roger Mac written by Tony Grafia. This was this was an episode we knew way back in season 3 about Murataw's ultimate death.

We started talking about it as early as that.

And we knew it was going to be a big episode because of Alomats, which, you know, when we break the stories, we break out the books, we knew

that it was going to fall somewhere in the middle of season five.

So that's kind of the big big story here as you guys have you know already

watched the episode and you're kind of rewatching with me now.

So let's get started with the episode

as we jump right in.

Obviously this is the title card. The title card is a direct result of the title of the episode, The Ballad of Roger Mac.

We... episode, the ballad of Roger Mac, we were going to write the actual ballad, but original

music, original songs take a very long time

and we just didn't have enough time

to get the song ready for the episode. Of course this is Richard really singing. He has a fantastic voice and we love to hear him sing live. It does all this stuff. We don't pre-record so that's pretty cool it's a great performance every

time he does it you know in the past episodes as well. So this scene is, you know, we're trying to set the table here for what's to come Roger going off to war

Bree you know having to stay home really it's tough for for Brianna who is a fighter in herself you know and

we know that later in the episode that she once she realizes what's going on she's going to rush right out to the battlefield, you know, very courageously.

So, this, uh, This episode we did a lot of scouting for this episode to try to find the

battlefield where we were going to shoot all the scenes.
