And my guest today is Stephanie Shannon, our story editor last season for

season.

Hi Tony, I'm really glad to be here today. I'm excited to talk about this episode. I know it's such a good

episode such a really great episode and Stephanie did an amazing amazing job on this episode. I have to say, this is one of my favorite story

arcs of this season is the Jocosta Murtas story and if I had to pick another episode that I would

have died to write this season. It was this one. So there was a high bar and I have to say you knocked it out of the park on this and did a great great job with it.

So were you drawn to this part of the book when you read?

Yeah, I definitely was.

I loved this section in the book. It was so evocative and beautifully done with

Jocosta's wedding and just how she and how kind of she describes the beauty

of the ceremony and the food and the dancing and all and it was just such a great part of the book and also the way we opened the episode with Joe Costa's memory of when she lost her daughters was my favorite part of the book.

I thought that was.

It's one of my favorite parts as well.

And this title, Better to Marry than Byrne, that was...

Yeah, that's the title of the section of the book for Jaquasta's wedding, and I thought it really spoke true to the theme of the episode too in the sense that, you know, it's, I write about how the

chakasta's family motto is,

I Shine Not Burn, and I thought that that was a really good way to show

that she's kind of been strong,
