talented co-executive producer writers. Allison Evans.

And Steve Kornaki.

This is the first episode they wrote for Outlander and they were also there supervising the episode in Scotland,

their first trip to Scotland and the whiskey today is

inspired by your trip. Yes we went to the Obin Distillery so it's Obin. I think it's

14 year old stuff. nice a classic super smooth it feels like we've already been

drinking or perhaps I would have known the number of the episode anyway we're kicking off with a cold open here with the discovery of penicillin.

Yeah, we we actually wanted to we had to follow up on the penicillin story, but before that we got

through this point in the season where we realized that at this point we didn't have any time travel.

So we kind of thought we would do something

to bring Claire back into 1968.

Hence you see her in the church in the beginning here.

And we tie that in with the penicillin story. It's kind of cool because this season, Marcelli's been working with Claire and Claire's been teaching her.

The Art of Healing, which is ironic since Leary was so convinced that Claire was a witch and Marceley now has bonded so much with Claire that she's almost like another daughter and she's

taken on this role and so it's a cool relationship.

And the kind of the cool weird thing about that scene was that that was written after we had actually

filmed the rest of the episode because we originally thought we could do the discovery of penicillin as a title card,
