Now I have to say this has probably been one of our most requested episodes. A lot of people have asked us to tackle this topic. A lot of

people have cited various films in this movement and it's quite a big movement in new French

extremity. And we were waiting and

waiting because I was working on this book called Films of the New French

Extremity, Vissural Horror and National Identity, published through McFarland which you can buy right now.

So we were holding off because we wanted to kind of coincide with the book coming out a little bit,

give everyone time to digest, think about it, let Andry and I think about which films we wanted to talk about because as I said there are so many
