It's Halloween month I mean for us horror fans. It's Halloween month all year round more or less but in October we get to

sublimate our love for Halloween left right and center I don't know about you guys but I am picking up housewares galore at places like Michaels and Holmesense and Dollarama.

Fun tip, hit all that shit up the first week of November when it's all on sale, but you guys know this.

Anyway, we are back for another episode and this time we are going to launch

into some of our Halloween favorites. I think for anyone listening to this

podcast if you are indeed listening to a podcast called the

faculty of horror Halloween was probably pretty big in your childhood

where you certainly had a lot of curiosity around it now for this episode Andrea and I are actually just trying out our

costumes. I'm going as Andrea. Andrea is going as me so that's why we're

switching things up a little bit tonight. I'm really excited to draw on all

those tattoos later.

But for me, Halloween was the time of year

where I got to really explore my curiosity of horror films.

This was the time when it was on TV. The Simpsons were doing Tree House of Horror episodes.

All the stuff was in the stores, as Andrea just mentioned, and it was a truly acceptable time of year for a little kid who seemingly had no horror elements in her life

to really embrace it and just quietly enjoy it.

One hilarious anecdote from my childhood that my sister really likes to bring up if people say that they've heard of Rumorg or they've heard of the faculty of horror or they just know who I am through horror avenues.

She'll tell them about the time that she caught me in like mid-January with a walkman listening to this tape that was made for the purposes of

creating ambience out in front of your house. You were supposed to play this tape on Halloween night when trick-or-treaters were coming and it was all spooky sounds and witches and goblins and whatever and she got me listening to it.
