At first we shrugged it off and thought he would grow out of it.

He knows we don't encourage it and he tries to hide it.

We've tried distracting him with books, etc.

Or offering other comfort items and activities, encouraging him to sing hymns instead but he always goes back to it like it's a need

He's now almost four and it's becoming concerning I know it's not like what adults do but I'm afraid that when he reaches that age it will naturally morph into that

It's impossible to find advice on this because the world says it's natural let it go and the Christian community really doesn't address it

Any advice on how to
