I'm getting ready to go up north man and getting ready to preach.

I do 10 talks, basically 10 sermons in five days and I'm being reminded every day of how

unfit I am to preach. Usually it's like some circumstantial thing that happens every day and then I blow up and I have some terrible response to it and I'm like oh man I'm the last guy who should be doing this. Do you have that experience like as a

preacher and if so how do you like deal with it? I have it so during the summer

at Emanuel our lead pastor gets time off for a vacation and then he'll usually take another month

where he's he's in the office kind of working on other areas of the ministry so the

preaching gets divvied up and I get to do a decent portion of it. I have that a lot more right after preaching because

Sunday afternoon is like my worst my just worst time of the week in terms of me

as a human being.

Yeah.

Because I'm tired, you know, being at church all day

is you're kind of on constantly as a pastor.

You know, you're talking to people people there's a lot of in-depth

conversations preaching takes you you'll know this it takes more out of you than then you

would think like it's not just talking for 30 minutes there's there's sort of a yeah

a whole body mind soul investment and so that I come home and like my kids are in a great mood after church

they've had a great time in youth group, you know, whatever and like their good

mood pisses me off.
