Summary

Okay, so the 1970s wasn’t all bad. We got Star Wars, Jaws, The Sex Pistols, and Led Zepplin out of it. But we also got disco, streaking, pet rocks, and mood rings. You’re probably thinking how outdated those things are, but there’s a strong chance that you’re still relying on your mood ring for your weight loss and fitness choices. Except instead of calling it a “mood ring”, you call it “motivation”. We wait for motivation to hit us, to really feel the eye of the tiger before we head off to hit our goals hard. But motivation is unreliable and sometimes never comes at all. This week, Catherine and Donald talk about how moods and motivation are short-term and fickle and building systems and consistency are the real keys to hitting your weight loss and fitness goals. Plus, Catherine is as tired as her Miracle Fish, Donald consults a wide-mouthed bass, and the couple are befallen by treasures.
