383, Rommel comes for Debrook.

Last time, Rommel had completed his preparation for his next attack, conversely, C and C

Middle East Aachenleck felt confident that his side would prevail.

After all, General Richie, the 8th Army Commander, had a 2-1 superiority over the Germans

and was on par with the Italians in terms of tanks.

And that's what the C and C said was needed for victory.

Even better, the Allies knew almost to the day when Rommel would attack.

The waiting was all.

On May 26th, the day that Rommel launched Operation Venencia, luck was on his side, as a chasm

or windstorm came up from the south.

Normally, this would be welcomed by the attacker as his or her troops would get into position

camouflaged.

However, Rommel wanted the British to see his forces, at least those to the north, closest

to the coast.

The Kruvel group, the Kruvel himself wasn't there that day, was made up of four Italian

divisions, and they rumbled into position across from the Indian divisions, who were

shielding the town of Ghazala just behind them.
