Jonathan Sadler comes on the show to talk about his graphic novel of his grandfather's experiences during the war.

Mr. Sadler has long been keen on World War II and graphic novels, and now his grandfather's memoir has allowed him to bring these two passions together.

Thanks you for having me, right? It's an honor to be on this podcast.

Absolutely very much, and now I have to tell you this is the second graphic novel that I've interviewed for World War II.

In your opinion, have you seen this before? Is this something that might be an increased trend as we go along?

I'm just kind of curious what your experience is.

So it's funny you say that when I unboxed on this project and we'll come into it in a bit more detail.

I did do the Google in World War II and graphic novel to see what was out there.

You may have, I mean, the absolutely seminal piece is Mouse, which is about Holocaust written by Art Speegleman.

I don't know if you've read that, but there was another book that was written quite recently by George Takai about Japanese in

German World War II in the lesson, his own experiences here.

George Takai is from Star Trek, and I bought that book.

That was quite, you know, the art was great.

And there's been, there's been many other, I've now become a bit of a collector of old war two,

as you do, but what was the book that the other book that you wrote that was on this podcast?

Oh, Joe Lee did the story of two sisters who were trapped in Warsaw.

I'm trying to remember now it's been, I think it's been close to a year now.
