Episode 382, retired naval officer Dale A. Jenkins, comes on to discuss the battles at Coral

Sea and Midway.

A formal naval officer who served in the Pacific, Dale Jenkins was stationed in Japan and throughout

the region.

He's the former regional director of the Naval War College Foundation and has a book

coming out on December 1st entitled Diplomats and Admors, which covers the battles of the

Coral Sea and Midway and the diplomatic build up and mistakes made by both sides that led

to the attack on Pearl Harbor.

Mr. Jenkins, thank you very much for being with us.

Well, it's a pleasure to be here also and I'm glad you're interested in the book of

writing.

Absolutely.

I'm very much looking forward to it.

And the other reason I wanted you to come on the show was because when I stopped with

the Pacific theater, I stopped right before the Battle of the Coral Sea and obviously Midway.

So I'm very excited to have you on because as we're going to see talking to you today,

the outcome of the Battle of Midway does have an intense determination for the rest of

the war in the Pacific.
