Amy and I went up to Indiana last weekend and I got to drive out to Warrantemaker and visit my mom, spent some time with her, had a really nice time.

And after that I drove around Indianapolis for a few hours,

and I was looking at a lot of the trees that I'd planted. And I got to visit the 7,000th tree I'd planted.

I hadn't seen it since the day that I planted it about eight years ago, and it was doing really well.

Then I went out at night to my old neighborhood in Broaddripal and went to some of the bars that I used to hang out at.

There was probably a 10-year span where I would spend at least five nights a week at these bars and I wouldn't leave till 4 a.m.

And that's some really good years. But I got to see some of my old friends and I heard there were some other friends of mine that were hanging out at the American Legion Hall. So I went ahead and walked over there, and I walked in, and the

band was playing one of my songs. And it felt pretty damn great to be back in Indiana.
