I was sitting at the bus stop yesterday and there was a guy that came over and sat down next to me.

He put his head in his hands and he looked worried and stressed out.

I said, hey, buddy, how you doing?

He says, well, I'm having trouble with my wife.

I said, oh, I'm sorry, man.

He says, yeah, I didn't want to believe that she was stealing from her job as a road worker.

But I came home today and all the signs were there.

I'm sitting here in my living room in East Nashville, Tennessee,

and I have my cat Frankie sitting right next to me helping me out. This is a personal journal.

This is a bit of an experiment. I like to say right up front that I haven't the slightest idea

what I'm doing, but I decided to do it anyway. And this show was founded with the idea that there are only two people in art that matter.

There's the creative individual and the person experiencing it.

And everything else is an artificial filter.

This is a way for me to share things with you guys without any filters whatsoever.

My guess this week is Matthew Ryan.

Matthew is a singer, songwriter who lives in Beaver,

online.com. I hadn't seen Matthew in a while since he left Nashville for Beaver, Pennsylvania.

And our buddy Glenn put together a gig somewhere outside of town

and had me and Matthew play.

So the night before we did that gig, and it was really, really good.
