The Exploring Alternatives YouTube channel is all about living large with less.

They feature weekly videos about living life to the fullest through exploring alternative spaces and

lifestyles. Since starting the channel in 2014, Danielle and Matt have grown it to 1.5 million

subscribers and over 200 million views. Matt and Danielle, thank you so much for being here.

Thank you for having us. Yeah, thanks. I'm really excited today because the first time I became aware of your channel

was when you interviewed a Fizzle team member, Jen,

and you guys went and took a look at the place that she lives,

which is a box truck, actually was a box truck.

They've moved since then out in Vancouver, BC.

I found out about exploring alternatives through that, and since then I've dove into your channel,

which is really, really well done. So thank you so much for being here. If you can, just tell us a

little bit about the channel and what people might find there.

Sure. Yeah, like you said, we've been running the channel for the past six years, and we

tend to do a lot of exploring of different alternative lifestyles. So we look into people who are living

zero waste, people who are doing long-term travel, people who are trying to work online and be

location independent. And then we also do a lot of alternative homes, so people who are doing long-term travel, people who are trying to work online and be location

building earthships, people who live in vans, which we do half the year.

Wait, hold on, what is an earth ship?

It's just as cool as it sounds. An earthship is a concept that was designed by a man named Michael Reynolds in the U.S.
