Today we're listening to episode 373 and my guest is Steve Magnus.

Steve is a performance coach, he's a writer, and he's the author of several books including

Peak Performance, The Passion Paradox, and The Science of Running.

He's also the co-founder of the Growth Equation.

You've heard from his business partner on that Brad Stolberg on this podcast several times.

And Steve was the track and cross country coach for the University of Houston for quite

a while.

He also has a history back in the day, he worked with the Nike Oregon Project, and we get

into that a little bit because he was one of the whistleblowers with everything that

went on with Alberto Salzar, and it was something I didn't want to spend a ton of time on.

However, I felt like it was really important to talk about it because it's a big part

of his story.

And so we touch on that and we talk about the evolution of his own running as well in

this episode.

Steve is super well researched and educated and has so many great things to say.

It was really a joy to talk to him in this episode.

These are the kinds of episodes I just want to bottle up and keep forever, and I'm so

grateful to have the opportunity to talk to people like Steve.
