All right, everyone, welcome back to another episode of the Human Performance Outliers podcast.

0:14.1

I'm your host, Zach Bitter.

0:15.5

And today I have a guest interview for you, although we do have a focus on nutrition as the topic that I

0:23.2

found to be an interesting one.

0:24.5

So for me personally, when it comes to nutrition strategies that work, I suspect there is a wide

0:31.2

range of options for people to choose from that can be successful.

0:35.7

Because of this, I believe that finding an option that is relatively easy

0:39.8

to stick to is going to yield the most consistency and therefore success at the individual level.

0:46.6

1:18.4

weaknesses. They will also have tradeoffs. What this means is if you want to zoom in on one aspect,

1:25.4

you can make a specific food look either entirely good or bad.

1:30.1

This, in my opinion, becomes problematic when discussing nutrition because it just clouds the

1:35.7

reality of what one can expect.

1:38.5

Second, when it comes to recommendations, I find it unlikely any singular way of eating will be successful at a population

1:46.2

level given our current food environment. Meaning, if we decide to promote a best diet for all or place

1:55.3

any way of eating in a guideline structure intended to convince everyone to eat a specific way, it will fail.
