We are a couple of missionaries at Acts 29, and this is the podcast where we talk about how acquiring a biblical worldview brings us great hope in the God who created and rescued this world.

We are in the throes of the octave, and I love these days.

You know, the church is constantly trying to teach us.

I think a lot of people have an idea that the church is kind of down on joy and fun and celebrating.

They have this dour image.

I mean, the church is telling us, no, you have eight days, not a day to celebrate Christmas.

You have eight days because you can't possibly celebrate the redemption of the universe,

which began at the birth or the incarnation of God-made man in a day,

let alone an hour. And so we have eight days to stretch out this celebration, which is just glorious.

Yeah, you could argue that it takes a lifetime to unpack the graces of the incarnation. And yet,

so often we can like take down our trees and our wreaths and move on

like the next holiday, which I think might be Valentine's Day. And so yeah, these are not real big

for priests, by the way. No, probably not. I'm free that night. Probably not. That's right. Oh, you're too

much. Yeah. Yeah, absolutely. I mean, I see trees out in the neighborhood the next morning. It's like they were just thrown right out, right off the bat. And then always breaks my heart because, you know, the crash sits underneath the tree. So my assumption is, or my presumption is, the crash is gone too. Yeah, I would imagine most people who threw their Christmas trees out the next day

probably don't have a crush.

That'd be my guess.

Yeah.

And yet the Lord wants to continue to teach us how to understand what it is he's done for us.
