So we have three guests for you today on the show.

And the reason for that is we're going to talk a little bit, Western States 100.

So this week, the Western States 100 is kicking off.

And for those of you are familiar or semi-unfamiliar, there's an interesting stat with Western States is because you can only have so many people on a certain portion of that

route at any given time, there's a limited number of positions every year. But it's also one of the

more popular events to try to get into. So if you were to

decide, I want to run the Western States 100 today, and you went and you ran a qualifying race that

allows you to enter the lottery, and you entered the lottery for the first time, you'd have less

than a 1% chance of having your lottery ticket drawn. Now, it gets better every year you enter. So you do

get rewarded the more years you enter and you have a higher percentage of getting your lottery ticket

pulled because you just get more of them for every subsequent year that you apply. But it's tough to

get into. And there are other ways to get in. You can race race in you can get in through a sponsorship spot

and yeah there's there's those options as well so we'll talk about kind of how our guests

today got into the western states 100 and what they plan on doing we go over some interesting things

just like what it was like to train for it prepare for it what their expectations are on the day
