1:06.0	And not only is this a very love-fueled month
1:09.0	with Valentine's Day, which just passed,
1:11.0	but there's also a big cultural thing going on right now,
1:14.7	and that would be the Oscars.
1:16.1	And those are a big award show about films and cultural prestige.
1:20.6	So what better time to talk about two horror films that deal a lot with
1:25.6	cultural prestige, Francis Ford Coppolas, Bram Stokers Dracula, and Kenneth
1:30.6	Brana's Mary Shelley's Frankenstein.
1:33.0	That's right, and it's actually kind of interesting that we're looking at these films around Oscars season
1:38.0	because the filmmakers behind these films, Francis Ford and Coppola has won several Oscars obviously.
1:44.0	Kenneth Brana on the other hand has been nominated for so many and hasn't won one
1:50.1	always a bridesmaid, never a bride and I actually feel like that kind of speaks to what these films are all about in essence like the best of intentions high pedigree great players some not great players, but they just didn't quite get it right.
2:06.3	And I think that's to say that when they do get it right, it is so right and there's so few
2:11.8	filmic elements that could ever top what appears in these films,
2:15.0	mainly Dracula, but we'll get into that later.
